Jean Woolston-Hamey's love of Australian flowers has led her to interpret a delightful collection of them in paper quilling. She takes a freer approach to design than is usual in quilling, reflecting the fact that in nature each flower and leaf is a little different.
Her unique interpretation of the art, combined with the creative use of other paper-cutting techniques, has resulted in fifteen artistic flower portraits, suitable for use in wall plaques, pictures and plates.
Each flower is illustrated in colour, with detailed instructions and diagrams. Subjects include the peach-blossom tea tree, sollya (bluebell), marri, red bottlebrush, everlasting daisies, wattles, boronia, and grevilleas.
